President Uhuru Kenyatta has castigated National Super Alliance Presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, for trying to divide Kenyans with his mantra of ‘10 Million Strong’.
Addressing a highly charged rally in Isiolo County on Saturday, Uhuru said that dividing regions along ethnic lines will not help NASA leaders ascend to power in August.
Uhuru said he is the President of 45 million Kenyans and he is not a tribal leader of some few Kenyans.
Uhuru also said that it is unfortunate the opposition continues to
..intimidate Kenyans by issuing unnecessary threats as far as the electoral process is concerned.
“All citizens have a right to elect leaders of their choice and they should not be coerced to do so,” Uhuru said.
The father of the nation also emphasized that he is determined to ensure that Kenyans have equal access to opportunities that will lift their lives.
“The projects we are implementing - ranging from infrastructure, provision of electricity and modern medical equipment to free maternity and paying exams fees for candidates in primary and secondary schools – are all aimed at ensuring that there is equity and no part of the country lags behind in development,” he said.
