His closest rival was ann Mwangi mvurya who won the elections. It was a surprise win for anne as no woman has ever won sonu chairmanship position. SONU has since been rebranded as UNTSA.

Why Raila is like a father to moses Kuria and the day Raila helped Moses Kuria when he was hopeless

Moses Kuria and Raila odinga are arguably the most popular politicians in Kenya.
In run up to August 8 polls most people would think that moses Kuria and Raila odinga are enemies who don't see each other eye to eye.
But for a fact Raila odinga and moses Kuria have a deep history and like that bond that of father and son.
It all happened when moses Kuria was expelled from the university.

A friend confided to us that moses Kuria was helped by Raila odinga to win the case against university in court of law.
The friend narrated how the famous legislator was helped by Raila Odinga when he was expelled from University of Nairobi in early 90s.

Kuria’s friend said when the MP and his colleagues were ejected by the University’s Senate, it is Raila who gave Kuria some money and instructed the late Otieno Kajwang’ to represent the student leaders in court.
“I can confirm that Raila gave kuria Sh 400,000 and paid Kajwang to represent the students in court. I can also confirm that on Saturday January 20, 1995, Kuria attended Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s first anniversary and slept in Raila’s Opoda Farm home in Bondo,” he said.
Another friend, who requested anonymity, confirmed that it is true that Otieno Kajwang represented Kuria in court for close to a year, until Justice Mwera threw out the case and ordered the university to re-admit Kuria and his colleagues.

It was in fact Raila odinga hand that helped Moses Kuria back to the university and to be The man he is now

Why Raila Odinga postponed todays peoples assembly at last minute

The much-hyped People’s Assembly Convention set for tomorrow now hangs in the balance due to ongoing wrangles in the National Super Alliance (NASA).
The inaugural National People’s Convention (NPC) that was set to be held in Nairobi tomorrow has now been postponed indefinitely.
There is word going round that NASA’s affiliate parties are arguing that the

idea is no longer workable.
NASA supporters have accused Wiper Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula of snubbing Raila Odinga’s swearing in ceremony last month.
Sources say this is the bone of contention and what could have possibly triggered the postponement of the convention.
The People’s Assemblies were meant to trigger Article 1 of the Constitution and give NASA supporters the right to directly exercise sovereignty while the coalition pushed for another Presidential election in August this year.

Deputy wiper leader says Kalonzo is on his way out of NASA

In his tweet, the former national assembly speaker said Raila has indicated signs of betrayal for Kalonzo and Mudavadi, hence the reason they boycotted his swearing in.
He said Raila Odinga remarks over the weekend angered both kalonzo and mudavadi and they decided to punish him by boycotting the swearing in ceremony.
Raila who is suppose to endorse kalonzo for 2022 Presidential Race said that Ruto needs his support to win 2022 race remarks which angered other NASA principals.
Here is a tweet by wiper deputy leader showing kalonzo musyoka will be betrayed by Raila.
"On varied occasions in 2002 Raila promised to support all of Nyachae, Kalonzo&Saitoti for Presidency but pulled out Kibaki Tosha. This time both Mudavadi&Kalonzo hoped 4 Rao's payback but turns out that Ruto with his deep pockets has a better chance.Once done in twice shy. Bolted"

Raila will likely support Ruto who is fearless and has a higher chance of winning the presidency other than other NASA leaders who are betrayers and are just hanging onto Raila for political survival.

It is a matter of time before kalonzo leaves NASA.
