After the divorce things went South for Raphael tuju wife.
She could not afford the once lavish lifestyle she was accustomed to.

According to The Nairobian, Ruth Akinyi can not afford the posh lifestyle she once had before separating with her wealthy husband. She now been reduced to waking up very early to go and prepare matumbo and chapatis for her customers who visit her a small hotel along Mombasa Road.
She started toiling like any other Kenyan to make ends meet.
She went from living a lavish lifestyle in Karen to preparing chapati and matumbo and other cheap food for construction workers along Mombasa road.
She left behind an expensive restaurant in Karen owned by Raphael tuju to start a small hotel along Mombasa road to make ends meet.
Court documents during their divorce show that Raphael tuju was willing to pay her 200,000 monthly upkeep but he was worried she was going to use the money with her young lovers.

Yesterday Kenyans witnessed the most brutal murder this year.

Ivy Wangeci a 6th year medical student, was brutally murdered by naftali Njahi Kinuthia a businessman based in Nakuru.
Kinuthia had traveled all the way from thika to Eldoret just to commit the heinous crime.
As he was being beaten by the mob, Kinuthia was shouting
"Aliniambukiza! Aliniambukiza!"
The man was shouting with bitterness as he was receiving treatment that the lady infected him with HIV among other things.
As he was being wheeled to the emergency room, Kinuthia made it clear that if Wangeci is dead then he can now die peacefully himself.

As he was wheeled into the emergency room, to be attended to by doctors who knew Ivy, sources say that he said these words:
"kama Ivy amekufa now mnaeza niuua Mimi sasa" loosely translated to mean, if ivy is dead you can as well kill me aslo.

Sad News Moi University 6th year medical student Ivy Wangeci Gorgeous was hacked to death this morning in broad daylight as she was coming from her medical practicals at The Moi Teaching and Referral hospital, Ivy's Killer (shown in pic 3) arrived using car(KCP836P), closely monitored her then followed her as she was heading to Chandaria Center and hit her on the head with an axe then slit her throat with a sword before hitting her 3 times again with the Axe.Rest In Peace Wangeci,may your killer lack peace forever.
It has emerged ivy was living with another man in Eldoret Moi campus.
Those privy to their relationship also say that the boyfriend went to a VCT center after learning about the relationship and also tested positive.

Kenyan Gospel musician Christonimph Wambui popularly known as Vivah is reported to be among 12 people who lost their lives in the Kikopey accident, along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway.

20-year-old Vivah was on her way to Nairobi to have her songs listed on Skiza Tunes when the matatu they were travelling in was hit by a truck at Kikopey, Gilgil.

Christonimph Wambui was famed for songs such as Umenitenda Wema and Jipe Moyo.

Gospel singer dies in accident that claimed 12 lives

Nakuru County Commissioner Erastus Mbui who confirmed the Friday accident said that the truck driver lost control while descending a sloppy section of the road and that is when it hit five other cars including the Matatu.

He added that all the 11 passengers who were in the matatu died on the spot.

Patrick oita nyapera a police officer murdered the wife by the name Christine a high school teacher.
Fresh details about their relationship has emerged.
Patrick working as an AP officer with little pay did his best to pay school fees for his wife Christine.

The couple had been married for more than 7 years and together they have a daughter.

A long time student leader of the university of Nairobi has been assannitated.
OCS Ragira vied for kilimani MCA in 2017 Elections but did not win.
He was assannitated today. The main cause for his assassination came as a result of tension between students and traders operating within the university.

OCS Ragira was fighting for students rights at the time of his assassination.
He was following a case where two students were recently stabbed by traders with one of them dying.

Breaking :Uhuru appoints new IG to replace Boinett whose term came to an end today

Boinett replacement has finally been named.

Boinett term came to an end today after serving for 4 and half years.

Mr. Boinnet has since been appointed the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated Hillary Mutyambai as the new Inspector General of Police replacing Joseph Boinnet.

Mr. Mutyambai is currently the Assistant Director at the Counter Terrorism Center.

In an Executive Order dated March 13, 2019, Boinnet – whose four year tenure as I.G came to an end on Monday – was hence appointed the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.

Boinnet was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta to the position of I.G on December 31, 2014 and officially took office in February 2015; replacing David Kimaiyo who is the current Chairman of the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) board

Jacque Maribe has given a glimpse of how life has been for her ever since she was released from prison.
The former tv beauty queen has revealed that she had gone through hell ever being released 3 weeks ago.
Jacque Maribe filed a contempt of court application, arguing that she had not been allowed to access to her house, the Court has finally allowed her to access the home.
In her application, Maribe claimed that she has been forced to beg for clothes and accommodation since DCI and DPP offices have not allowed her access to her house .
In her application she wants DPP to avail her items within 24 hours.
She also had reportedly borrowed a Mobile phone as her phone is being used as an exhibit in court.
The court has granted her her wish and we hope that her life becomes normal again after all the drama.

Why Joho has Two degrees despite scoring a strong D-

The Vice-Chancellor of Gretsa University, Prof. Kuria Thuo, has spoken out and defended the university’s decision to award Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho a degree despite having a D- grade.
Prof. Thuo stated that the university admitted Joho to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce on the strength of a previous degree awarded to him in Uganda.
According to the VC, Joho was admitted to Gretsa in 2014 to study his second Bachelor's degree in Business Administration after he presented another degree awarded to him by Kampala International University.
He noted that the degree awarded to Joho by in the neighbouring country had been recognised by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Interestingly, the same year when Joho was admitted to Gretsa University, a controversy had emerged after his Kampala degree was disputed by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education.
This would, however, be dismissed by Kampala University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Badru Kateregga who said that Governor Joho had earned his degree legitimately after studying at the institution from 2009 to 2012.
The Gretsa VC could, however, not comment on the debacle facing the embattled Governor, highlighting that the issue was still being investigated by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Mzee Peter Musyoka Mairu, the father of former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka, has been described as a far-sighted citizen.
Speakers after speaker heaped praise on him, saying he mentored his son, Kalonzo, to be obedient, humble, loyal and his overall being today.
Besides, Mairu desired that his beloved son Kalonzo would become the fifth President of Kenya.
Speaking at Mairu’s Tseikuru home, Kitui Business Community and Professional Forum Coordinator, Campell Munyambu, said Mairu told him, when they met last August, that it was his desire that his son becomes Kenya’s fifth President.
Munyambu said he knew Kalonzo’s father since they were young and that he was so special to him.
“I had a close relationship with the late Mzee Mairu, Kalonzo and the entire family since we were young.”
“Mzee was a special man who lived a simple and down-to-earth life. He was a friend to many,” said Munyambu.
Mairu died last week aged 94, and will be buried today at Kalimani Village in Tseikuru, Kitui County.

Deputy President William Ruto will know the fate of Weston Hotel by February next year when the National Land Commission completes investigating claims that the land on which it stands was illegally acquired from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
During a public hearing on the matter, KCAA said the land adjacent to Wilson Airport which Ruto built his Weston Hotel was illegally handed to him (a private developer).
According to the documents available, Ruto illegally acquired the land few months to the 2002 General Election.
In 2003, the then PS for transport and communication, Sammy Kyungu, wrote to the then Lands PS, Francis Baya, noting that public land had been fenced off by a private developer, but that still did not stop Ruto from grabbing the land in question.
“I want to further reiterate the earlier position of this Ministry, that the said plot is not available and is among the very important inventory of assets which the Government is expected to transfer to the KCAA and should not be allocated to any other party,” the letter to Baya, Kyungu said.

Why obado will spend the night in jail despite being released on bail

His lawyer said there was an issue with one of his sureties and having no time to handle that before the close of business, decided to deal with it on Thursday morning.

Obado was directed not to skip any court session as his bail could be revoked at any time.

The Migori Governor was charged over the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno on September 24.

Migori Governor Okoth Obado will spend another night in remand jail even after he was freed on a Ksh.5million bail on Wednesday.

His lawyer said there was an issue with one of his sureties and having no time to handle that before the close of business, decided to deal with it on Thursday morning. This means he’ll spend the night at the Industrial Area remand prison.

The Governor deposited the Ksh.5 million cash bail and also presented two of his cars, a Toyota Prado and Toyota Land Cruiser V8 as sureties.Other conditions for his release were that not go anywhere near the Sharon Otieno murder scene.

“He shall not go anywhere within 20Kms of Homabay County boundary on all sides of that county,” Justice Jessie Lessit warned.

Jennings Orlando Odhiambo, the Recce Officer who was arrested in connection to Monica Kimani 's murder, has disclosed details about
Joseph Irungu aka Jowie's whereabouts on the night she was murdered.
Orlando told homicide detectives that Irungu had invited him for a drink at a Kilimani bar where they stayed from 6 pm until 8 pm.
Thereafter, Jowie told him that he wanted to visit a friend who had come from South Sudan, so the two drove in Jaque Maribe ’s car to a petrol station in Kilimani where he asked Orlando to wait.

He, however, denied accompanying Irungu to Monica's house and maintained that Jowie returned at around 11 pm but did not discuss anything about her.
Reports indicate that from his statement, detectives on the case are considering treating him like a witness rather than an accused person.
Kiambu magistrate Justus Kituku on Friday directed that Orlando is presented in court on November 2.
The GSU officer was arrested after detectives established that he had communicated with Irungu before and after the murder.
At 31, he belongs to the Recce Squad of GSU, which is based at Ruiru in Kiambu County and is
among dozens of officers attached to the US embassy and a member of the Special Programme for Embassy Augmentation and Response (SPEAR).
SPEAR was created in 2014 by the Diplomatic Security Service to respond to critical incidents involving US mission facilities and personnel locally.
The program refines Kenya's capability to support US diplomatic security through ongoing training. Its curriculum focuses on the hard and soft skills needed to respond to threats facing State Department personnel overseas as outlined by The Standard .

Jacque maribe who is currently in police custody has finally decided to distant herself from her fiancee jowie Making it clear that she has ended the relationship.
In an affidavit seeking to be released, Jacque maribe hinted jowie is no longer her fiancee.
“Irungu was my fiancé as at then and in the circumstances I definitely communicated with him.”
“It is most unfair to use the communication between me and him in the given circumstances of our then existing relationship as a reason to deny me bail,” said Maribe in her affidavit.

IEBC ceo Ezra Chiloba claims his job has been terminated by Chairman Wafula Chebukati for failing to appear in two disciplinary committees.
The circus at Kenyan electoral body -IEBC-continues. Chairman Wafula Chebukati and sacked CEO Ezra Chiloba need to be held to account for corruption, mismanagement of polls and negligence that borders on criminality.

Chiloba was suspended twice before being sacked today.
He had gone to court to prevent his sacking and won.
His sacking today was mainly because of the fact that he had failed to appear in two disciplinary meetings which was scheduled by iebc.

Breaking: Former Assistant Minister passes on

The veteran politician, popularly known as "Esirori Nyamaguta", died on Wednesday morning as he was being rushed to a hospital in Nairobi.
Moturi was a loyalist to former President Daniel arap Moi.
Details on his death remain scanty. The former Assistant Minister was first elected through the infamous 1988 mlolongo elections.
At the advent of multi-party politics, Moturi was a chief campaigner for Moi in Nyamira.
His attempt to capture a Senate seat in the 2013 elections failed.
Moturi is the founder of Chama Cha Mwananchi, which he formed months before the 2013 election.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission split the North Mugirango/ Borabu constituency into North Mugirango and Borabu in 2012.
Until his death, Moturi was running his businesses in Amakara, Borabu, and Nairobi.
Nyamira woman representative Jerusha Momanyi sent a message of condolences to his family.
In an interview with the Star, she said he was a dedicated leader. Momanyi said Moturi fought for the interest of the people.
"We have lost a great leader in the North Mugirango and Nyamira as a whole. It is so painful but we have to bare it, " she said
