Revealed: Mistake JKUAT student did before attackers decided to stab her in the neck, Killing her on the spot

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) students have held a peaceful demonstrations around Juja and its environs to protest against the killing of innocent students.

The protests come after a first-year student at the institution, Tabitha Muthoni, was allegedly stabbed to death on Thursday night as she resisted thugs. According to first responders on the scene of crime, Tabitha was in the company of another female friend when they were accosted by two thugs who demanded their valuables.

The deceased’s friend reportedly complied but Tabitha refused, prompting the gangsters to stab and violently rob her.

She was taken to the university hospital where she was declared dead on arrival ‘due to excessive bleeding’.

The university administration has since released a statement saying police have taken the deceased’s body to the Kenyatta University mortuary after the next of kin were notified.

“The extremely brutal manner in which Tabitha’s life was snuffed has understandably caused anxiety among JKUAT students and staff. The University is ready to work with security agents in Juja to investigate the incident and bring the culprits of this heinous crime to book. We urge our students to remain calm as police discharge their mandate,” the statement reads.

Pathologists dont talk to dead people, but they do answer some of their questions. As a forensic pathologist dig to unravel Ms Mildred Odira cause of death. A post-mortem on the body of Mildred Akinyi Odira showed that she was hit by a blunt object on the head and other parts of her face before being dumped on the road.

Pathologists examining the body of the 32-year-old said the injuries she sustained on the forehead, the cheeks and the neck were inflicted on her while she was seated upright.

While revealing the details of the autopsy report, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo said Ms Odira had several injuries on her torso.

“The cause of death was the injury on the forehead, it looks like she was hit by a hammer and after she was dead then placed on the road for vehicles to run over her,” Ms Odhiambo said.

The autopsy also showed that the injuries on her limbs occurred after “she was ran over by a car and not knocked down,” Ms Odhiambo said.

To establish this, human anatomists observe the changes of colour in the shape and position of the organs. The pooling of blood on the person’s body — a phenomenon called lividity — also provides a clue on the person’s posture before death.

This is caused by the fact that when the heart stops beating, blood moves with gravity to the lowermost part of the body, depending on its position.

Samples extracted from Ms Odira’s nails and private parts were taken for analysis to ascertain if she was raped.

The results of the autopsy were released as Ms Odira’s brother said he had received threats from unknown people.

Mutahi ngunyi has finally spoken about the relationship between deputy president Ruto and his boss Uhuru kenyatta.
Ruto seemed to have been sidelined more in government after the appointment of Fred matiangi to head all government projects.
Mutahi ngunyi who was speaking on his weekly 5th estate said that Uhuru and Ruto are no longer on the same page.
He said that Ruto focus on 2022 politics last year strained his relationship with his boss Uhuru kenyatta. Ruto has been criss crossing the country under the tanga tanga movement for the better part of last year.
Ngunyi went ahead to divulge that the president did not need Ruto as much as before, and thus was only tolerating him through his last term in office.
He also said the March 9 handshake provides Uhuru kenyatta with many options for 2022.
He can endorse whoever he wants now including Nasa leader Raila Odinga.
“Uhuru does not need Ruto. He is only tolerating him…This is painful but it is the harsh truth.” he said in his weekly political segment.
“Ruto should remember that there are no permanent friends in politics, we only permanent interests and if Uhuru’s interests change then Ruto should adjust his expectations"he added.

He said Rutos focus on 2022 immediately after 2017 Elections contributed to his fall out with his boss Uhuru kenyatta.

Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria says he will contest for the presidential seat in the 2022 General Election.

Speaking on Hot 96 breakfast show, Kuria expressed optimism that he would win in a contest against William Ruto, saying if successful, he would offer the now deputy president a post in his government.

His sentiments come a week after days of speculation that he was planning to ditch the Jubilee party for the Democratic Party (DP) following a tell-tale post he made on social media.

Kuria had posted a flag of the DP party on his social media with a claim that the party would be the choice of Mt Kenya leaders.

Although he has not made a formal application to join the party – which would inadvertently see him lose the Gatundu seat- the party leadership said Kuria is free to join the outfit ahead of 2022.

The Nation previously reported that business magnate Jimmi Wanjigi, Maina Kamanda, Peter Kenneth and Senator Kembi Gitura are some of the top men who have expressed interest in being part of the political outfit.

Fresh details :How Obado plans to commit another murder were thwarted, he will be arrested anytime

Embattled Migori Governor, Okoth Obado, is in deep trouble again and could be arrested again any time.
This is after Jared Kwaga ; a former close business associate of Obado, was summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to record a statement about an alleged plot by the county boss to kill him.
Speaking on the matter, DCI boss, George Kinoti, confirmed that indeed they are investigating Obado over alleged plot to murder Kwaga.
"Yes, we are investigating this issue and hope to conclude investigations soon,” said Kinoti.
According to sources, detectives are in receipt of a letter with details of an alleged scheme by the Governor Obado and his associates to eliminate Kwaga.
Jared and Obado, who had engaged in prior business dealings, are reported to have fallen out in 2018.
This comes even as Migori Governor still faces the murder charges of his ex-lover, Sharon Otieno, who was brutally murdered in cold blood last year.

Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetang'ula, has said that he has already embarked on the ambitious journey to State House and that he will be on the ballot come 2022 gunning for the Presidency.
This is even as he had earlier indicated that he will support Deputy President William Ruto for the top seat after falling out with Opposition leader, Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Bukembe East Ward, Kanduyi Constituency on Saturday, Wetang'ula said he will be going for the Presidency, noting that he had the numbers to propel him to State House in 2022.
He also called on the rest of Luhya leaders to unite and back his bid.
"FORD Kenya will produce the next President.”
“Let us unite to produce the presidency.”
“I am asking my brothers, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, to support my Presidential bid," said Wetang’ula.
The FORD Kenya boss refuted claims that he had joined Jubilee and will back Ruto’s bid in 2022.
"We have a stand, and we can't demolish our house and join other people.”
“Those supporting the Deputy President William Ruto are just but a few gluttonous people.”
“With time, they will come back," he said.

It appears that the relationship between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and exiled and self-declared NRM general, Miguna Miguna, is over and will never talk to each other again.
This follows Miguna’s move to write another book which clearly reveals the happenings before and after the 2017 General Election and Raila’s subsequent swearing in as People’s President.
Raila blocked Miguna from both Twitter and Facebook; a clear signal that he does not want to have anything to do with him.
The former Prime Minister pulled a surprise move on Friday night, permanently denying Miguna Miguna audience on social media.
On Saturday morning, Miguna sent out a tweet announcing that he had been blocked by Raila, terming it as a cowardly move.
Since his deportation following illegal swearing in of Raila as People’s President, Miguna turned his guns on Raila, castigating him on social media for doing so little to have him allowed back into the country in the truce with President Kenyatta.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has reportedly offered Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, a job in his Government.
According to an impeccable State House source, Uhuru dispatched former Gatanga MP, David Murathe, last week to speak with Mudavadi over his new role.
Uhuru told Murathe to tell Mudavadi that he wants to appoint him as his Senior Economic Affairs Advisor with a specific focus on mega projects and fiscal policy management.
Since Murathe is loyal, he invited Mudavadi to his Gatanga home where the two discussed about Uhuru’s offer.
Murathe and Mudavadi were classmates at St Mary’s School in Nairobi in the 70s and 80s.
The source said Mudavadi refused Uhuru’s offer and said his plate is full.
He said that he is the opposition leader in the country and he cannot go to bed with the Jubilee Government because he will be betraying Kenyans.
Musalia was President Uhuru’s running mate in their 2002 failed presidential bid in which both were humiliated to the extent of even losing his Sabatia constituency MP slot to a little known preacher, Moses Akaranga.
Musalia is a likable person with very few (maybe zero) political enemies across the republic, he cuts the image of a fence sitter just like retired President Kibaki - non controversial and a voice of reason.

KANU chairman and Baringo Senator, Gideon Moi, has revealed the name of a presidential candidate whom his father, retired President Daniel Moi, wants him to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta once he retires in 2022.
Speaking in Homa Bay County during a fundraiser, Moi said the former President wants National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, to succeed Uhuru in 2022.
He said he is ready to work with Raila Odinga in 2022 to accomplish his father‘s wish and said he has a father 's blessing in working with opposition deity.
Moi also said his father was very happy with Raila Odinga‘s decision of meeting Uhuru at Harambee House on March 9th where they agreed to unify all Kenyans and deliver all Kenyans to the promised land.
“After the handshake, Raila and I are one thing. The friendship between my father and him will continue. We will work together to lay a roadmap to get to Canaan,” Moi said.
Gideon Moi’s political pronouncement is a big blow to Deputy President William Ruto‘s presidential bid in 2022, since he was hoping that the senior Moi will endorse him because they come from the same region.

Citizen TV presenter, Jacque Maribe’s lover, Joseph Irungu alias Jowi, reportedly made distress calls to four people after killing Monica Kimani on September 4th, DCI detectives have revealed.
The detectives who are using the Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED) said that records show that during the night of Monica’s murder, Jowi sent distress messages and placed frantic calls to friends.
In one of the messages, Jowi requested a friend to help him on an issue disturbing him.
“Among others, the suspect made calls and sent texts to some of his friends seeking their advice on an issue that is under probe for now.”
“He then switched off his phone until the following day,” said another officer.
The identities of the friends, who are being sought for questioning to explain what Irungu told them, was not immediately clear.
Police have warned that the friends would be prosecuted should it be established that Irungu had confided in them about a crime and they failed to report it to the authorities.

Rhoda Odie Nyakwaka also had to abort her pregnancy after a reported affair with Governor Okoth Obado.

The First Lady, Hellen Okoth and Rhoda are born of the same father who got the latter after inheriting her widowed mother in Kadika village of Suna Central sub-county.

According to the Nairobian, when Hellen discovered the shenanigans of her beloved husband with Rhoda, she is said to have gone bonkers even as Obado, lawyer, Cliff Ombeta, insists they have never been an item.

But a member of the Kadika clan from Hellen’s side of the family told The Nairobian that Obado’s affair with Rhoda has remained an open secret for a long time.

There were allegations Obado even got Rhoda pregnant but the pregnancy was allegedly terminated at the behest of angry relatives who accused her of crossing the blood line.

The tabloid further reports that the man claimed the affair started three years back when the governor employed Rhoda at the county head-quarters in the catering department.

But investigators had not pieced the evidence together.
When he was summon by Detectives last week, Obado claimed that he was At Nairobi during the day Sharon was brutally murdered. He seemed off the hook that time with a strong alibi.

Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s mobile phone was traced to Homa Bay on the day Rongo University student Sharon Otieno was murdered and not Nairobi as he had told detectives early this week.
This clearly makes him one of the prime suspects.
A detective who spoke in condition of anonymity also confided that the phone signals were traced to kodero forest where Sharon was murdered.
Okoth obado might not have any place to hide anymore.
He will be charged in court on Monday with a key witness , a taxi driver who has spilled the beans about the murder cases.

note that most counties have not made their contributions, hence the Secretariat has accumulated a massive rent arrears that now stands at Sh19.37 million.

Githae says Uhuru's busy schedule won't allow an interactive meeting between him and Kenyans in diaspora.

Kenya’s ambassador to the US Robinson Njeru Githae who has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is on an official visit to the US, will not meet Kenyans in diaspora due to his tight schedule.

WASHINGTON, DC

President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is on an official visit to the US, is not scheduled to meet with Kenyans living there as has been the tradition, Kenya’s ambassador to the US Robinson Njeru Githae has said.

In an exclusive interview with the Nation, Mr Githae said time will not allow for the embassy in Washington, DC to schedule an interactive meeting between the President and Kenyans in diaspora.

“The president will only be around for one or maybe one and half days and most of that time will be taken up by his meeting with his counter-part, President Donald Trump at the White House” Mr Githae said.

“The president expresses his regrets. He would have loved to meet with Kenyans because that is one his best moments whenever he visits abroad,” Mr Githae added
