Prado Owners, Jubilee Delegates Weep As They Count Losses
Over 6000 Jubilee delegates who attended the launch of the Jubilee Party at Kasarani Stadium are now asking Deputy President William Ruto to pay them their allowances as per the agreement.
Speaking on Tuesday afternoon, a member of the National Assembly(name withheld) has disclosed that over 6000 party delegates went home unpaid, sending them into enormous grief. A source said most of those who went home empty-handed were members from the URP wing of the Coalition. “We sacrificed so much for the party and the least we expected was that the Deputy President would meet his part. We expected to get reimbursement as we had agreed with our Deputy President a week ago in Karen,” one of the stranded delegates lamented to this writer in Kasarani stadium.
On other front, a car hire company in Nairobi has pleaded with Ruto to pay the already pending debts as per the agreement. According to this company, the URP wing of the Jubilee party was to pay them Kshs.50,000 per car and for three days, yet, up the time of filing this story, no single cent had been paid.
