The Ministry of Interior has declared Wednesday October 25 a public holiday.
According to a gazette notice published on Tuesday, acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i declared that this would facilitate Kenyans to participate in the presidential election.
"Wednesday the 25th of October 2017 is a public holiday to accord Kenyans an opportunity to participate in the Fresh Presidential Elections," the notice read in part.

In a gazzete notice in the print media today interior ministry said that tommorow will be a public holiday, meaning the nation will have two public holidays in a row.
Thursday was gazzeted as a public holiday by the interior ministry last week.
Matiangi gazzeted comes as the nation prepares to hold polls in Thursday this week.
The polls are a trying moments for Kenyans as the main opposition leader has withdrawn from the race.
