Breaking:Former NTV Journalist found Guilty for murder

Former NTV journalist and husband to the late Wambui Kabiru was on Friday found guilty by the High Court.
The court through Judge Roselyne Korir ruled that Moses Dola was the strongest party in the argument that ensued between him and former NTV reporter Wambui Kabiru that led to her death.
"The fatal assault was done by the accused who caused the death of the deceased and his conduct was that of a guilty person," ruled Korir.
Korir further stated that a report must be filed on pre-sentencing before a verdict is given.
The court indicated that Dola should remain in police custody as he waited for the final ruling.
The prosecution pointed out that the court should consider three factors in order for Dola not to be given a non-custodial sentence.
A non custodial sentence is a punishment given by a court of law that does not involve a prison term.
"Wambui died at a young age and the son deprived of her mother at a young age too. This court should sentence Dola" stated the prosecution.
The journalist explained to the court that he never intended to kill Kabiru and that he was sorry.
The case is set to be mentioned before the Deputy Registar on October 26.
Evidence from the police revealed that Wambui was strangled either by bare hands or a using a piece of cloth.
