Kenyans have been asking themselves where IEBC chairman chebukati is after IEBC vice chair maina signed an official document on behalf of the chairman.
Chebukati last press brief was on October 30 and it is now almost 3 months after he was seen in the public limelight.
Chebukati who handled both the August 8 and October 26 elections very well has kept a low profile since the elections ended.
He handled both elections very well despite the pressure he received from politicians.
The Star has however established that Chebukati is in Israel for two weeks on an official mission, according to a source at the electoral body.
"The vice-chair is acting," the source said.
It seems the chairman is out of the country on official duty for close to 2 weeks and might make public appearance as from next Month.
