The new cabinet provides for gender equality and for Uhuru Kenyatta cabinet to be gender balanced he must nominate atleast 5 women to the cabinet.
Those considered for the cabinet include former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Olive Mugenda, former head of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission Sarah Serem and former Teso South MP Mary Emase, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
Olive mugenda will head the very powerful education docket which was held by matiangi if she is nominated.
Others being considered include former Cabinet Secretary for foreign affairs anina Mohammed and her PS Monica Juma.
Amina Mohammed might return to the cabinet after performing overwhelmingly good in her previous stint in the cabinet for the last 4 years.
