Kwale county Governor Mvurya Unveils plan to ensure Uhuru gets all the votes in the County

Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya is working on a plan to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta gets over 100,000 in the county.

He has formed a campaign team that will go from house to house, matatus and all over​ the county in the vote hunting mission.
Last month, Uhuru performed dismally in the county after garnering 43,812 votes compared to NASA leader Raila Odinga's 138,664
Mvurya and his team on Friday said they will use Jubilee's development record in the county to woo residents ahead of October 17 vote.
"We are going to operate everywhere till everyone gets to know about President Uhuru Kenyatta," he said.
He said they have done a postmortem of the August election and identified areas which did not perform well.
"We know that NASA likes propaganda but we will deal with them head on with the truth."
The ongoing tarmacking of Samburu road, completion of SGR and construction of Ukunda airport are among the projects they are floating.
He said they will also demystify the land issues used as bait by politicians citing that over 40,000 people have received title deeds from Jubilee.
Mvurya was with deputy governor Fatuma Achani, Mshenga Ruga, Hassan Mzinga and MCA Juma Maone among others.
They met candidates who lost in August election on Jubilee ticket as well as affiliated parties together with opinion leaders from across the county.
Mvurya insisted that Uhuru won the August election before his victory was overturned by the Supreme Court.
"We have put up measures and we are ready for the repeat election," he said dismissing NASA's demands for the fresh vote.
He said those who are not ready adding that they have an option of waiting until 2022.
Hassan Mzinga who lost senator seat in Kwale on Kanu ticket said that all Jubilee affiliate parties are going to join the presidential campaign team in the region.
"We want Uhuru to get three times the votes he got in August 8 election," Mzinga said.
Achani said that Kwale is not a zone for a certain party but locals who are focused on development.
In May, Mvurya said the Jubilee Party leader will get over 70 per cent of the region's vote but this was not the case on August 8.
