Ruto has launched scathing attacks at national resistance movement leader Raila Odinga.
Odinga who is 74 years old now was expected to retire In 2013 and he is expected to contest the presidency In 2022 when he nears 80 years old.
Ruto has said that elders should retire from politics forever and that its time for him to watch and enjoy what he fought for .

Ruto did not mention Raila directly but this message was directed to him.
“I take this opportunity to tell our elders that you do not have to work until you collapse,” he said adding that “it’s good to retire when you can still sit, watch and see what you have contributed and how others want to do it,”he said today while attending Sarah Serem led SRC last luncheon.
He did not mention Raila but it was directed to the NASA leader.
