Uhuru won free fair and square IEBC reveals

The IEBC has disowned results captured in its public portal and beamed to the public after the August 8 vote in its titanic battle with Opposition chief Raila Odinga.
In court papers filed on Thursday, the IEBC now terms portal figures “statistics” and says the only true results are those captured in statutory forms.
Raila says in more than 10,000 polling stations, data entered in KIEMS and displayed at the Bomas of Kenya were not consistent with information and data from polling station Forms 34A.
The Opposition chief initially protested the IEBC system was hacked and results displayed to the public were fake.
The IEBC rubbished this claim.
“The data entered in KIEMS was statistics. The result of the election from each polling station was contained in Forms 34A. It is therefore incorrect to compare statistics entered in KIEMS with results from each polling station as contained in Forms 34A,” the IEBC now says.
This is in response to Raila's poll petition challenging the announced victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
NASAsaid on Friday it would drop a "bombshell" and evidence of "monstrous" fraud and forgery.
At the Bomas of Kenya, the IEBC referred to its portal figures as “text results” and said they are consistent with results in the statutory forms.
“What is expected from returning officers is for them to ensure what they are keying in the KIEMS kit are final results as they also appear in Forms 34A. So there is expected consistency,” IEBC Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba announced on August 9.
He went on, “And if that is the case, then transmitting and sharing the same information with the public well in advance without human interference I think is good for transparency and integrity of the process.”
Presidential results in the portal currently show Kenyatta won by 8,223,369 votes (54,17 per cent) against Raila's 6,822,812 votes (44,94 per cent).
However, at the Bomas, Kenyatta was announced winner, having garnered 8,203,290 votes (54.27 per cent) against Raila's 6,762,224 (44.74 per cent).
The legal battle pitting Raila against Uhuru and the IEBC will begin proper today at a pre-trial conference before the seven Supreme Court Judges led by Chief Justice David Maraga.

In response to Raila, the IEBC says Kenyatta defeated Raila fair and square and urges the judges to dismiss the suit.
“The result of the presidential election is clear and there is therefore no basis for an examination, audit or scrutiny,” the IEBC states.
In his separate filing, Kenyatta says his super majority in the bicameral Parliament and in the Council of Governors demonstrates the Jubilee wave.
“The Deputy President and I are not computer-generated leaders (vifaranga vya
(computer),” the President protested, saying their victory was achieved by Kenyan voters.
