A private detective investigating the embezzlement of funds at the troubled National Youth Service (NYS) has fled the country for fear of his life.
The investigator fled to the United States where he is said to have dual citizenship.
According to reports, the investigators, who had been hired in December last year by frustrated genuine suppliers who were not being paid for the goods and services rendered to NYS, left the country after he unearthed massive looting of public funds at the expense of genuine suppliers.
The investigator noted that he had found hard evidence of how hundreds of millions of shillings were frequently being paid to one influential tenderprenuer.
This businessman enjoys unrestricted access to NYS headquarters, the Ministry of Public Service and some banks.
He also has a lot of political backing.
He noted that he was in the process of giving the evidence to President Uhuru Kenyatta before he started receiving death threats and he fled to the US.
