NASA leader Raila Odinga on Sunday, May 6 rubbished reports linking him to the 2022 presidential election as baseless and untrue.
The media reports had indicated a section of politicians allied to the former premier said ODM had settled Raila for the top seat in the next General Election.
But a statement sent to newsrooms from the Orange House, clarified he was not interested in the 2022 talks since his focus was on unifying the country after a bitterly contested presidential results that almost ripped Kenya apart.
He did not however state whether his name will be in the ballot or not.
"Raila further appeals to Kenyans to stay focused on the critical issues contained in the Building Bridges project and healing the nation and reiterates the need for Kenyans to address themselves to the future that we would want our children to live in and refuse to be distracted by the politics of 2022," he stated.
Raila Odinga maintained that he is not interested in 2022 election for now and is only looking forward to uniting Kenyans first and for the Upcoming referendum.
