Popular ODM Governor Tells off Raila says he will support Ruto

A governor allied to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has openly differed with his party boss Raila Odinga, over the proposal to change the current system of governance.
Turkana's Josphat Nanok, who doubles as the chair of the Council of Governors, on Wednesday, May 2, said the recent proposal by the former prime minister to amend the Constitution was premature and untimely.

"No county wants to hand over coordination of its projects and programmes to another region. I don't think so," Nanok opined as quoted by Nation.
According to the governor, any debate on whether the Constitution should be amended or not should wait for at least two decades.
"We should wait for at least 20 years to start debate on changing the devolution structure, " he said during his visit to Lokichar, Turkana South.
