When Elijah Muraguri broke through security to catch President Uhuru Kenyatta's eye, he did not know that his Daring act would pay off.
For the29-year-old matatu driver, there was little to lose, and he figured he would rather seize the moment or forever regret not trying.
He took his chances and bypassed Uhuru Kenyatta security in a Daring move and handed him a note which Uhuru Kenyatta read silently and Smiled as he continued with the day proceedings.
Elijah was quickly arrested and taken a nearby police station where he spent 5 days in remand.
Mercy from the police station boss helped him and he was released.
According to the standard, His action has, however, paid off after Uhuru fulfilled what he whispered in the young man's ear after he (Muraguri) delivered a hand-written note to the President During public function in Murang'a on April 26.
Muraguri's wish finally came true when a brand new Toyota Probox was delivered to him on Tuesday by officials from the Office Of The President.
Although he would not encourage anyone todo what he did, Muraguri is happy his courage to seek audience with The President has borne fruit and will forever cherish that rare occasion.
