Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Friday revealed that despite the Uhuru-Raila handshake, his 2022 presidential bid is still intact.
Speaking for the first time in public since his return from France, the County boss noted that his quest for the presidency is unshaken.
"Handshake or no handshake, I will still vie for the presidency in 2022," he exclaimed.
The ODM deputy party leader added that the pact between the two leaders will also not stop him from addressing pertinent issues affecting his County residents.
Joho further asserted that nothing will stop him from speaking his mind about the ills affecting Mombasa residents including marginalisation.
"This country belongs to us all and no Kenyan is better than the other," Joho stated.
The Mombasa boss also dismissed DP Ruto's remarks opposing a change in the constitution.
"Nobody owns the Constitution, it belongs to the people of Kenya and if they want it to be changed, so be it as long as it is in their interest,” declared Joho.
Joho has been missing in action over the past 2 months and he only resurfaced last week to attend alikinlba wedding.
