KANU Party Chairman and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga for holding unity talks on Friday.
The Baringo Senator said that Uhuru, Raila's Friday meeting was the right move in reconciling Kenyans who he said are sharply and ethnically divided by last year's Presidential election.
Moi noted that it's time Kenyans put aside their differences and work together to build the country.
"As KANU we happily welcome and congratulate President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for putting their interest's aside and agreeing to unite the country," he said as quoted by a local daily on Saturday.
Moi said that the Friday meeting between Uhuru and Raila was a show of unity and statesman-ship.
He called on other opposition politicians to take the step taken by Odinga and help the Jubilee government build and unite the country.
Raila met with President Kenyatta on Friday where they pledged to burry their political hatchet and work together.
