The politics in this country can leave one sad and demoralized because of the constant focus on stealing rather than leading by our very “caring” politicians. But when you think you have seen it all, comes out a legislator who makes you think that maybe politicians can be a force for good.The next story is a paradox for me. A politician using his hard earned cash to buy an ambulance for his constituents instead of buying a car for himself! Kirimari ward MCA, Morris Collo Nyaga, said he was touched by the plight of the residents, especially in informal settlements who could not afford an ambulance when they needed urgent evacuation.The MCA said the ambulance was purchased at a cost Sh4.5million using the car grant allocated to him.
While most legislators use their money to enrich themselves this MCA thought about his voters first.
