Nairobi county government official on Sunday, January 21, confirmed that they had received applications from two groups requesting to pitch tent at Uhuru Park on January 30.
Chairman of the so called Nairobi Business Community, one Wilfred Kamau, also confirmed that they had been granted permission by the county government to use Uhuru Park on January 30.
According a report by Daily Nation, the two groups, the business community and a church, were expected to deposit their payment by Monday, January 22.
This comes as a blow to NASA who had hoped to swear in Raila in the same venue on January 30.
NASA leaders will have to look a venue or postpone the event all together.
Nairobi business community is expected to hold their annual meetings in the same ground on January 30.
