Babu today lamented that he will be locked behind bars for a whole week.

I would love to thank all patriots who have just stormed Parklands Police Station to demand for my release . Mr Kamwende who coordinates CID operations in Nairobi had me arrested me on a Friday with clear intention of having me behind bars for the whole weekend before trial on Monday. We will emerge stronger than before!"
Babu owino yesterday said that little known Francis mureithi is the one responsible for his arrest.
Here is what he shared yesterday
"My arrest is as a result of a deep conspiracy involving Jubilee govt , Mr Francis Mureithi and Director of Criminal Investigations Nairobi County Mr Kamwende on realisation that we are going to win the petition against my victory on 8/8/2017. Mr Kamwende who is in charge of CID operations in Nairobi is acting under orders from Statehouse having received a bribe of Ksh 200 000 from my former opponent Mr Francis Mureithi at Sankara Hotel at around 3:30PM today!"
Francis mureithi was babu owino opponent in just concluded embakasi east elections and Is has currently filed a case in court challenging babu owino win.
Pundits have predicted that he will win owing to much evidence of voter intimidation and bribery.
