Matiangi has assured Kenyans that the 2-6-3-3 curriculum is on courses to replace 8-4-4 system which Kenyans have being accustomed to since late 1990.
Matiangi dismissed reports that the new system has been hit by hitches and promised that everything is going on smoothly from implementation and everything.
He dismissed media reports that the system hangs in a balance.
"I have seen reports in the media indicating the new curriculum is hanging in the balance. I categorically say there is nothing like hanging. The plan for the implementation remains as drawn," he said in a press briefing
Matiang'i further said phase two of the project will be rolled out in 33,000 public schools within the year, before the national conference in August, that will allow full implementation in 2019.
Also present were Knut Secretary general sossion who also serves as a member of parliament, book publishers association and other stakeholders.
