In the run up to the 2017 elections Ken Obura ditched ODM party and supported the jubilee government despite being from opposition stronghold.
Obura fell out with top opposition leaders for his close relationship with the President with some calling him jubilee mole.
His close relationship seems to have paid as he has been selected to represent Kenyans as a powerful chief administrative Secretary.
