Trump adminstration through its twitter account has rubisshed claims by a section of the media that it was pushing for unity government between the government and opposition, united States ambassador revealed that Kenya has a sitting president and opposition should wait for 4 years to participate in 2022 elections.
Here is what they shared.
"Media reports that Amb @BobGodec asked for a unity cabinet or pushed for a unity gov't are wrong. US continues to be committed to a National Conversation involving all Kenyans to build national unity, address long-standing issues & resolve divisions exacerbated by 2017 elections."
What they advocated is a national agenda to push Kenyan agenda and ensure that keyans are united after a very divisive electioneering period.
