Chief justice maraga has issued a new directive to the police and particular the inspector general.
This is after a chief magistrate was abducted last night while heading home.
Here is what maraga posted on his twitter account requesting police to ensure that all Kenyans are safe.
"Last night’s carjacking of Kwale Chief Magistrate Doreen Mulekyo was a shocking incident to the entire Judiciary. We thank God she wasn't hurt. I call upon the police to ensure the culprits are arrested. We want to see better security for all our staff, and indeed all Kenyans."
Maraga leadership qualities made him nominated jurist of the year few weeks ago after handling two supreme Court cases.
