Gideon moi has been named pro chancellor of kabarak university with retirement of his father.
He was also awarded an honorary doctorate
During the University's 12th graduation ceremony, the KANU chairman was also conferred with the Award of Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters ( Honis Causa ).

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and Kabarak University Vice Chancellor Henry Kiplagat were honoured during the 13th graduation and inauguration ceremony of the pro-chancellor and the vice chancellor of Kabarak University.
Moi is expected to try a hand in 2022 presidency, he will run against very popular deputy president William Ruto who has been nicknamed professor of politics
