President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked the Supreme Court to dismiss a case filed by an activist and which seeks to have his win in the repeat election annulled.

Uhuru said the case filed by Okiya Omtata is a waste of the court’s time and should be thrown out.
In his response to the petition filed to have an interim government formed, the president-elect said the withdrawal of NASA candidate Raila Odinga was null and void and that was why his name was in the ballot.
The activist argues that the repeat election held on October 26 was null and void following the withdrawal of Raila.
According to the Nation, Uhuru told the court that his election cannot be invalidated through Omtata’s petition as it was filed before the election took place.
