Britain become the first country to congratulate President Uhuru Kenyatta on his win yesterday after supreme Court verdict.
State house spokesman has revealed that over 40 countries have so far congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta.
They include Ethiopia, Sudan,palastine to name a few.
Here is what the government spokesman said.
"Some of you have asked about how many countries have congratulated the President on his re-election. As of yesterday, we can confirm that more than 40 countries had done so. The Foreign Ministry will release details in due course.
"Essentially, these congratulatory messages are normally channelled throughthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs, " he said.
Uhuru Kenyatta won the election with an overwhelming 98.3% after main opposition leader Raila Odinga boycotted the election.
Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in next week on Tuesday.
