Former Funyula MP Paul Otuoma and former
Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga who were vying under the umbrella of the Opposition coalition during the August polls shifted their allegiance to support Kenyatta's presidency.
Both lost the respective seats they were contesting for with Otuoma losing the Busia governorship race to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Candidate Sospeter Ojaamong .
Akaranga lost his bid to retain the Vihiga gubernatorial seat to ODM's Wilber Ottichilo .
Another leaders who attended include Alfred khangati who was a candidate in bungoma gubernatorial seat under ODM.
Also in attendance was speaker Lusaka and Fred gumo former westlands mp.
