LUHYA POLITICAL FUTURE NEITHER IN NASA NOR JUBILEE BUT LABOUR PARTY*
Facts are always very sturbborn. The NASA hierarchy has publicly promised Kalonzo Musyoka NASA presidential ticket in 2022.
If that happens, which is unlikely because Raila will still be on the ballot in 2022 on a different alliance as usual whether he wins or not, it relagates Mulembe nation to the back banner.
In Jubilee, Ruto has been publicly promised the ticket come 2022. If that happens, which is unlikely because the owners of the party will have probably groomed a mount Kenya candidate to replace Uhuru, the Mulembe nation will be nowhere near power.
So where is the future of this vote rich community? LABOUR PARTY because one Hon.Ababu Bandanna has what it takes to ignite the base and consolidate the Luhya vote moving forward. He is the only Luhya who has publicly rejected Raila Odinga who has always believed that he can use luhyas to ascent to power. He is the only hope of LUHYA community.
The faster the Luhyas take note of this the better for them. As of today, the community has absolutely no stake in NASA nor Jubilee.
Labour Party supporting the re-election of Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta as the president of Kenya places the Luhya community on the political power succession path. First being liberated from the chains of odingaism and secondly building new political allies that understand what power means.
Labour Party puts luhyas at the center of power in the succession plan. Supporting Uhuru's re-election under the leadership of the luhyas own son Ababu Namwamba who is agile and daring to create new political paths is the only hope left to steer the luhya community into the future.
As we approach the general elections on 8th August 2017, it's prudent that the luhya community in its entirety rethink their own political future. The future of Kenya's politics will only be charted by vibrant leaders, the likes of William Ruto, Ababu Namwamba, Eugene Wamalwa, Johnstone Sakaja, Peter Kenneth among others. These are visionary leaders who have positioned themselves on the political succession paths. In all these vibrant leaders, Ababu Namwamba stands out. The reason why the luhya community need to empress him as a leader bold enough to chart a new political path.
