The poll findings that were released on Thursday indicate that 44 percent of the respondents would re-elect Governor Kidero if the elections were held today while 43 percent would vote for Sonko.
The poll also portrayed a likelihood of the contest being a two horse race as the third most preferred candidate was former Gatanga Parliamentarian
Peter Kenneth who was favoured by a mere four percent of the respondents.
Outspoken lawyer and independent candidate for the post, Miguna Miguna , was preferred by a meagre one percent.
