Nicholas Biwott, during a government delegation to Oakland, allegedly made sexual advances to an hotel attendant. And they were bungled out, sent back to Kenya (the whole delegation). When asked in parliament by the opposition led by James Orengo to explain what transpired, Biwott had to defend himself by saying he made the advances because he was 'a total man' . That's the genesis of the nickname Total Man. But James Orengo named him the Bull of Oakland.
Nicholas biwott was called total man because of that incident and it stuck with him until the end of his political career.
Biwott was one of the most powerful individuals in KANU government and he was one of the most respected and adored politician.
