The high Court today canceled iebc tender awarded to a Dubai based firm which the opposition claimed had ties to the government.
So what does this mean to election date?
Yes it will be postponed until further notice.
IEBC will start the tender awarding process a fresh which might take up to 3 weeks to decide on the best firm to print the iebc presidential ballot papers.
After the tenders have been awarded it will also take time for the papers to be printed and delivered to various polling stations across the country so with this latest developments in the high Court the election will not be held on August 8 and it might be pushed to a later date.
Iebc might again try to appeal the ruling on grounds that they don't have time to conduct a fresh tender process this will also take time and a toll on Kenyans who are eagerly waiting to vote and continue with their life.
Raila odinga knows the chances of him losing this election is very high and he is only playing with the minds of his supporters.
