Kiambu Governor has finally opted to vie as an independent candidate nearly a month after losing miserably to his bitter rival in the Jubilee primaries.
Kabogo will now face-off with Ferdinand Waititu in the race to be Kiambu governor in the upcoming General Election.
It comes as a shocker to everyone considering he lost by a huge margin to Waititu and blamed forces within Jubilee Party who were hell bent at ensuring he lost.
Kabogo now claims that his opponent’s propaganda costed him the Jubilee ticket. Days before the Kiambu Jubilee primaries, a video was circulating claiming that Kabogo had insulted and disrespected women in his county.

The governor denied allegations that he insulted women. He said that the propaganda was orchestrated by his political enemies since he has always supported women in his county.
In a press release on April 22, Kabogo also responded to the allegations assuring Kiambu residents that he held women in high regard.
A video in Kikuyu released by the governor’s team has the governor also confirming that his competitors were behind the propaganda.
He asks Kiambu residents in the video to vote for him come August since he is focused on bringing development in the county unlike some of his competitors who are doing it to further their political ambitions.
Kabogo lost during the Jubilee nominations after he collected only 69,916 votes against those of his arch rival Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu who had more than 300,000 votes.
