The Jubilee party issued a statement signed by Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Tuesday, April 18 saying the president is neutral in the issue.
“Our attention has been drawn to media reports suggesting that His Excellency the President, in his role as the leader of the Jubilee Party, has indicated support for a candidate in the Nairobi gubernatorial race. These reports are untrue,” read the statement.

Jubilee nomination is expected to be held on Friday and the nomination for governor will be heated as sonko and pk go head to head.
Sonko had been leading in all opinion poll and pk has been closely catching up in recent times.
