The endorsement came as a surprise especially since Munya refused to fold his party PNU to Join Jubilee.
Immediately after the endorsement, Munya issued a statement saying that he was not in any coalition and that his party was fully behind Uhuru's re-election.
"PNU is not in any coalition and will not join any and our official position is that we are supporting the re-election of President Kenyatta. That position is known by all and sundry and has not changed," the Standard quoted the governor.
