The NASA coalition has been welcomed to Eldoret by Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago, but on one condition.
Govenor Mandago, who is seeking another term in office on a Jubilee ticket has warned opposition not to bring trouble to Eldoret during their tour slated for Saturday, February 25.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, February 23, Mandago warned against trading insults with the ruling government, adding that they should sell their agenda to the people.
“Now that they are coming to this county they should tell us what plans they have for the farmers and plans in terms of infrastructure development. Residents want tangible solutions,” He said.
Mandago’s warning comes a day after the NASA coalition signed a MoU that formalized the party, and in during his after-speech, Raila Odinga announced that their first campaigns would be in Eldoret- a region highly associated with Deputy President William Ruto.
NASA party leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi are all expected to attend the rally.
While the Uasin Gishu governor has welcomed the opposition leaders to the region, he has warned that their Eldoret trip could be a lost cause as the region was already spoken for.
“They are free to come and look for votes but they will not get any vote in this county. The voter registration ended and we know this game is over, the numbers are out there and records speak for themselves,” He jibed.
