"In an unlikely scenario that Raila Odinga is not our candidate, I think the automatic choice would be Musalia Mudavadi. Kalonzo Musyoka has always been too close to the ruling class and if elected president he won't deliver the desired changes. I have also heard from some quarters that there isn't much difference between Kambas & Kikuyus yet Kenyans want real change" ~ Hon Jakoyo Midiwo, Deputy Minority Leader
These words attributed to Deputy Minority leader in the National Assembly, Hon Jakoyo Midiwo are set to cause friction within the newly formed NASA Coalition. Hon Jakoyo is no ordinary member in the opposition ranks because besides being the Deputy Minority leader he is also a close aide & cousin of Opposition chief, Hon Raila Odinga.
Meanwhile, Raila Odinga has faulted Wiper's tendency of snatching ODM members and he was particularly irked by the defection of former Deputy speaker, Hon Farah Maalim who has since become Wiper's Deputy Party leader. The former prime minister's party also lost Hon Hassan Omar prior to 2013 polls after he was rigged out of ODM nominations for Mombasa senatorial race. The two (Farah & Senator Omar) have improved Wiper's national look because it was always perceived as a Kamba party as all notable figures were from Ukambani. Raila has promised to field an ODM candidate to challenge Aden Duale & Farah Maalim in Garissa.
