Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba has been asked to step aside from the Labour Party of Kenya as the party leader
- The order was issued by the Deputy registrar of political parties disputes tribunal
- The order comes just weeks after Namwamba fired LPK Secretary General David Makali
Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba has been ordered to step aside from the Labour Party of Kenya (LPK) as a party leader.

The court order issued on Monday, February 27 by the the Deputy registrar of political parties directed Ababu to step away to avoid confusion in the affairs of the party.
"THAT in order to avoid confusion in the affairs of the party, an interim order is hereby issued to restrain Ababu, by his servants/agents from acting or purporting to represent himself as member and party leader of the Labour Party of Kenya pending the hearing and determination of the application interparties," read the court order.
