A politician from United Kingdom, who had expressed interest in vying for the Presidency in Kenya in the coming General Election, has stepped down in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Daniel Munyambu, who is a former Councilor in the UK, bolted out of the August Presidential race, saying he will instead back Uhuru’s re-election.
Munyambu, who also happens to come Gatundu South like Uhuru, cited the interest of the ...country as the reason why he will not run against Uhuru for the Presidency.
He also begged Uhuru to give him a job in his Government when he beats former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the August poll.
“After consultations with my team of advisors, I have decided not to run against President Uhuru Kenyatta because he is an honest leader who needs support for the best interest of our country,” said Munyambu.
“I will request him to offer me a platform so I can implement my policies, especially in fighting corruption, restructuring economy for the creation of jobs, establishing universal healthcare and strengthening the chaotic devolved Government,” he added.
