President Uhuru Kenyatta has been voted East Africa’s President of the Year 2015/2016 by the prestigious Africa Education and Leadership Awards institute.
Uhuru was voted the best President due to his outstanding leadership and his ability to build consensus locally and abroad.
He was also awarded over his efforts to change policies for the better and supervise solutions that address Kenya’s pressing issues. Thousands of university students from across hundreds of institutions of higher learning in the continent also recognised President Kenyatta for his outstanding leadership.
In 2014/2015 President Uhuru Kenyatta was designated as the best President in the whole of Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Region due to his development track record and clear vision for Kenya and its future.
Uhuru was voted by Ambassadors from Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, known as ACP while in Brussels, Belgium, yesterday. The ACP Committee of Ambassadors praised Uhuru for transforming Kenya, and specifically for putting in place a strong economic agenda that will ensure the country’s sustained growth for years to come.
