10 IEBC OFFICERS RESIGNS
10 officials of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) have resigned owing to the uncertain future of the electoral body.
The officials including Returning officers and members of the electoral body's secretariat are said to have opted to quit over anxiety in the institution.
More officers have reportedly held talks with government officials planning on their safe exit after they were informed of a proposal to have them vetted, to ascertain whether they were fit to handle the 2017 General Election.
According to IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, tension within the IEBC was likely to undermine preparations for next year's elections.
