Monday June 13, 2016 - Chief Justice Dr. Willy Mutunga has finally broken his silence over the contested 2013 Presidential petition and revealed who won the President between Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Speaking in a public meeting at St. Johns Catholic Church in Korogocho, Mutunga upheld the Supreme Court’s verdict on the 2013 Presidential petition saying Uhuru beat Raila fair and square based on the evidence adduced in court.
The CJ, who retires this week, dispelled CORD’s allegations that Jubilee operatives held a gun to his head so as to uphold Uhuru’s election and render Raila Odinga a perennial election loser.
