Wiper Party leader, Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is on his way out of CORD. His departure will mark the end of a political romance with ODM Party leader, Hon Raila Odinga - a relationship that has seen a trail of bad blood and betrayal allegations made as was in 2007. We have reliably learnt that Hon Kalonzo Musyoka has been sending emmissaries in the last three months to woo DP William Ruto out of Jubilee so that he becomes the speaker next year.
The presiding bishop of AIC Church, Rev Silas Yego and Mr Joshua Kulei, a former powerful aide of retired President Moi are some of individuals Kalonzo have been using to deliver his message to DP Ruto. The Wiper boss has shown his willingness to the speaker in jubilee in a new political formation because he silently believes his co-principal (Raila Odinga) is jinxed to win presidency.
However, Kalonzo's hopes seemingly went up in smoke last Saturday during Soita Shitanda's burial after the deputy president pledged to fully support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election in 2017.
Kalonzo's team has now been left with a few options and one of them being Hon Musalia Mudavadi but one of his close aides disclosed to our mole they have not given up with DP Ruto and will keep knocking at his door.
