Government spokesman, Mr Eric Kiraithe has warned CORD luminaries who are planning to defy a government directive against holding a parallel Madaraka Day rally at Uhuru Park. Mr Kiraithe said they will be arrested and charged with the capital offence of treason last used against Hon Koigi Wamwere in early 90s.
The National Security Council (NSC) yesterday banned the planned CORD rally on security grounds but Raila Odinga's team is beating war drums insisting their rally must go on.
