Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has left the country again amid speculations of his whereabouts in the recent past.
Joho travelled to Spain to seek funding for a desalination plant in Mombasa.
He initiated the process to build the plant in Mombasa and has promised residents that water shortage will be a thing of past.
In a statement, Joho’s spokesman, Richard Chacha, shared the Governor’s dream saying the County boss intends to build two plants - one in Likoni and another in Shimo La Tewa.
“During his visit, Joho will meet Spanish Government officials and water desalination experts,” Chacha said.
Water Cabinet Secretary, Simon Chelugat, had dismissed Joho’s idea to build a water desalination plant.
He says that it is too expensive even for the national Government forcing the Governor to go directly to the donors.
John has not been in the country for over 2 months now and kenyans are concerned about his whereabouts, his spokesman man has confirmed that Jojo is not in the country and that he is in Spain allegations which have not been proved in picture.
