NASA was declared a criminal outfit on January 31st, following Raila Odinga swearing in ceremony.

In a gazette notice interior cabinet Secretary declared the outfit a criminal group.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Act, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of National Government declares National Resistance Movement (NRM) to be organised criminal group for the purposes of the Act,” Read part of the notice.
But today high court has reversed the notice saying NRM is not a criminal outfit and declared that NRM is free to conduct its activities in the country.

Justice Mativo issued the conservatory orders restraining CS Matiang’i from effecting and implementing the gazette notice pending hearing and determination of a case on the outfit.
This a big blow to the government who has hoped to crack down on all radicals who wanted to use illegal means to disrupt operations of legally constituted government.
