In a letter to the controller of budgets duale has asked the controller of budget to ensure that the money distributed is not used for peoples assembly and that they must closely monitor to the disbursement of funds to ensure that it is properly used.
In letter we have seen to Mrs Agnes odhiambo duale makes clear that no money for counties should be used to facilitate the peoples assembly.
“We, therefore, wish to bring to your attention, our concern of the intended irregular public expenditure on the initiative,” Duale stated in the letter.
"We also wish to bring to your attention the fact that the intended irregular public funding flouts section 12 of the Public Finance Management Act,” he wrote.

More than 5 counties have passed the peoples assembly motion now.The latest to pass include kitui county assembly which is led by governor charity ngilu.
It is expected that counties which will pass the peoples assembly will stop receiving funding from national Assembly to paralyze their activities.
