President Uhuru Kenyatta has so far garnered 1.6 million votes from 78 constituencies across the country, forms uploaded by the IEBC show.
Uhuru's 1,611,359 votes represent 98 per cent of the votes in constituencies whose Forms 34Bs had been uploaded on the IEBC portal by 10am.
The President's closest competitor NASA leader Raila Odinga, who withdrew from the election, comes a distant second at 17,977 votes.
Thirdway Alliance Party candidate Ekuru Aukot follows Raila at a distance with 3,929 while mwalimu Abduba Dida is fourth at 2,584.
Japheth Kaluya has 1,961 votes and Joseph Nyaga 1,412 while Cyrus Jirongo is last with 903 votes.
Via Twitter earlier on Thursday, IEBC reported receiving 36,769 forms 34A and posting them on its public portal.
Chairman Wafula Chebukati said they also received 57 forms 34.
