Supreme Court Judge Mohammed Ibrahim has been taken ill.
Justice Ibrahim is one of the seven judges listening to the National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential election petition challenging the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta .
Chief Justice David Maraga confirmed the matter stating that Judge Ibrahim was taken ill on Tuesday morning and is being attended to by a doctor.
“…as we speak he is being attended to by a doctor. So because of the pressure of time, we have to go on without him. So we’ll start as we planned yesterday," Maraga stated.
It is still unclear what the Judge is suffering from and where he has been hospitalised.
The remaining six supreme court Judges in today's session
Justice Ibrahim is likely to miss today's sessions where President Kenyatta's lawyers are expected to defend his victory.
Uhuru's legal team, comprising lawyers Fred Ngatia , Ahmednasir Abdullahi and Ken Ogeto , will have three hours to argue for the dismissal of Mr Odinga's case.
